After the Supreme Court’s comment on the decision of the state governments to bulldoze the houses and properties of the accused in any criminal cases, now the main opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has also given his reaction on this.

Rahul Gandhi has welcomed the Supreme Court’s comment on the social media platform Twitter. Rahul Gandhi wrote in his Twitter post, ‘The Supreme Court’s comment on the BJP’s unconstitutional and unjust ‘bulldozer policy’ is welcome, the anti-constitutional face of the BJP, which crushed humanity and justice under the bulldozer, has now been exposed in front of the country.’

He further wrote in his post, ‘The bulldozer, which has become a symbol of unbridled power, has constantly challenged the law with arrogance by crushing civil rights. Under the guise of ‘instant justice’, the bulldozer is being run with the intention of establishing the ‘rule of fear’. It is often the households of the Bahujans and the poor that come under its wheels. We expect that the Supreme Court will issue clear guidelines on this very sensitive issue and protect the citizens from this anti-democracy campaign of the BJP governments. The country will run by Baba Saheb’s Constitution, not by the whip of power.’

What did the Supreme Court say during the hearing?

In fact, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind had filed a petition in the Supreme Court with the allegations of targeting a particular religion in the bulldozer action, on which the hearing was held today. The Supreme Court has raised serious questions on the bulldozer action. The court said that it is not right to demolish someone’s house just on the basis of being an accused.

The court raised questions on the action of the government and administration and said that even if a person is guilty, his house cannot be demolished. The Supreme Court will hear the case next on September 17. The Supreme Court has sought a reply on this.
