Karimganj Superintendent of Police Partha Protim Das, while giving information about this recovery, told PTI that the police had received a tip-off about the drug consignment. After confirming the information, the police made a proper plan. And on Sunday night, an anti-drug operation was carried out in Jalalpur area under Badarpur police station.

According to the Superintendent of Police, under this campaign, the police was monitoring the vehicles coming and going in the area. During this, the police team stopped a vehicle and searched it. The police team found that a secret place had been made inside the vehicle. When it was opened, 1,00,000 Yaba tablets were recovered. The SP said that this consignment of drugs was being brought from Mizoram.

Superintendent of Police Partha Protim Das further said that the police have arrested three people, who are residents of Katigorah police station area of ​​​​Cachar. He said that according to the market price, the value of the seized drug is estimated to be around Rs 30 crore.
