This is a real story from Jaipur, Rajasthan. When a kidnapped child was made to meet his kidnapper for the last time in a police station, an emotional scene was witnessed. The child started crying loudly while hugging the kidnapper and the accused also started crying profusely.

What is the whole story?
On 14 June 2023, 11-month-old Kuku alias Prithvi was kidnapped from Sanganer Sadar area of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Kidnapper Tanuj Chahar was an acquaintance of the child’s mother and was posted as a head constable in Aligarh district of UP.
Accused Tanuj, along with his 4-5 companions, kidnapped Prithvi from his house. After the report was registered, Jaipur police first searched for Head Constable Tanuj Chahar in Police Line Aligarh, but the accused was also absent from his duty. Later, the UP government also suspended Head Constable Tanuj.
Since then, police conducted raids in several states to search for the accused and recover the kidnapped child, but no clue was found about the criminal. After this, Rajasthan Police placed a reward of Rs 25,000 on the kidnapper.

After this, Jaipur police received information that the accused Tanuj Chahar has grown his beard and wears the garb of a sadhu and lives in a hut somewhere in the Parikrama Marg of Mathura-Vrindavan and the Khadar area of Yamuna. He also roams around dressed as a sadhu and makes a child Krishna.
After this, Jaipur police also disguised themselves as sadhus to hide their identity and reached the accused’s hut singing bhajans. But the kidnapper got wind of the police and ran away into the fields with the kidnapped child in his lap. After this, on August 27, the police chased the kidnapper in the fields and caught the kidnapper Tanuj Chahar from Surir police station area and brought him to Jaipur along with the child.

An emotional video surfaced after the kidnapper was arrested
On the other hand, Jaipur police wanted to hand over the child to his parents after rescuing him from the kidnapper. On receiving the information, the parents also rushed to the police station, but the child insisted on going to the kidnapper instead of his mother. On this, the policemen took the child to the inner room to meet the kidnapper, where the child hugged the kidnapper’s chest and started crying loudly.
Even after handing over the child to his mother, he did not stop crying. Seeing the child crying, tears came to the eyes of this kidnapper. The accused had kidnapped 11-month-old Prithvi and kept him captive for 14 months. The accused calls 2-year-old Prithvi his own child. He claims that this child is his. Police investigation has revealed that accused Tanuj Chahar wanted to keep child Prithvi and his mother with him.
I even lost my job because of such a fire of resentment
The accused put a lot of pressure on the child’s mother regarding this. But when she did not agree, he kidnapped the woman’s minor son. After the kidnapping, the accused Tanuj Chahar used to call the child’s mother repeatedly and threaten her to make her agree to his demand. Due to this enmity, the accused was also suspended from his job, but he did not give up his stubbornness.
He fooled the police a lot during his escape
Accused Tanuj Chahar was posted as Head Constable in UP Police at Reserve Police Line, District Aligarh and was well aware of the working of police, that is why after kidnapping the child, he did not use his mobile phone during his escape to be cautious of police and after using mobile phone at one place, he did not go to that place again.
He used to change his appearance frequently
He used to leave the location of his mobile immediately. After meeting a person he knew once, he never met him again and to hide his identity, he used to sometimes grow a beard and sometimes color his white beard. At the same time, he never introduced himself to new people, so Jaipur police had to sweat a lot to catch the accused Tanuj Chahar.
