The Governor of West Bengal met Home Minister Amit Shah after 11:30 am today. The Governor of West Bengal reached Delhi on Thursday evening. According to sources, the Governor met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed the latest situation in the state including the RG Kar case and submitted detailed information. Last week also, Governor CV Anand Bose met President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and informed them about the RG Kar incident and the situation after it.

Protests are continuing in Kolkata

In fact, after the rape-murder case in RG Kar Hospital, Kolkata is facing continuous protests. On this, the Governor had called the entire incident a failure of the state government. Governor CV Anand Bose had said on this entire matter that the state government has failed on every front and the Bengal Police has been criminalized.

The Governor has met the President earlier

Mamata Banerjee’s government has not lived up to the expectations of the people. She has not fulfilled her responsibility at all. She should resign from the post. Along with this, the Police Commissioner should also be removed immediately.

I do not get the report I ask for from the government: Governor
He said that ‘The Constitution has given me powers. I will continue to work in the interest of Bengal. The voice of the people has not been heard. This is not a fight between the Governor and the Chief Minister. I had repeatedly spoken to the CM about the current situation in the state. Whatever report I asked for from the government, it was not given. So far I have asked for 30 reports but only one report has been given to me.’

C V Anand Bose is a politician. He is a retired 1977-batch Indian Administrative Service officer. He was appointed as the Governor of West Bengal on 23 November 2022. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Anand Bose has served as Secretary to the Government. He has also been the Chief Secretary of India and Vice Chancellor of a University. He is the Chairman of the Habitat Alliance in consultative status with the United Nations and was a member of the UN Habitat Governing Council. Bose has worked as District Collector and Principal Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary in several ministries such as Education, Forest and Environment, Labour and General Administration.

CV Anand Bose was born on 2 January 1951 in Mannanam, Kottayam, Kerala. Bose received his education from Kuriakose Elias College, Mannanam and St. Berchmans College, Changanassery. He also did his PhD from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and became an IAS in 1977. Bose is a Fellow of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.
