Delhi Traffic Police Advisory: The festival of Janmashtami is being celebrated in Delhi today (Monday), 26 August 2024. Meanwhile, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for travelers and devotees. Because there will be restrictions near major temples and procession routes. Shobha Yatra will be taken out in many areas regarding Shri Krishna Janmotsav. During this time there will be a lot of crowd on the roads. In view of the crowd, Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory to the travelers. In which people have been asked to follow the traffic guidelines during this time.

Avoid going on these roads
“Major events of Janmashtami will be organised at Lakshmi Narayan Temple in New Delhi, ISKCON Temple in East of Kailash, Dwarka Sector 13 and Rohini Sector 25, DDA Ground in Dwarka Sector 10, Janmashtami Park in Punjabi Bagh, Golok Dham Temple in Dwarka Sector. There will also be traffic jams on the route of Adhya Katyayani Shaktipeeth in Chhatarpur, Gufa Wala Mandir in Preet Vihar and Santoshi Mata Mandir in Hari Nagar.

The Delhi Traffic Police has requested travellers and devotees to follow the advisory for routes and plan their journey accordingly. The post said that no vehicle will be allowed on Mandir Marg between Talkatora Stadium and Peshwa Road, Mandir Marg T-Point. Mandir Lane will also be restricted from Shankar Road Roundabout to Mandir Marg.

At the same time, traffic will remain closed from Deshbandhu Gupta Road near Jhandewalan Temple to under the flyover, from Jhandewalan Temple to Rani Jhansi Road to Filmistan, DCM Chowk, Azad Market Chowk. You may also have to face traffic jam at Munja Chowk, Chelmsford Road, New Delhi Railway Station, Main Market Paharganj, Chuna Mandi, Rajguru Road.

You will not be allowed to go on these routes
According to Delhi Traffic Police, the routes of buses and commercial vehicles for Mandir Marg have been changed. Buses coming from Shivaji Stadium and going towards Mandir Marg will be diverted towards Panchkuiya Road or GPO Roundabout. It has been said that heavy vehicles will be banned on Captain Gaur Marg and other major intersections east of Kailash from 8 am on Monday to 1 pm on August 27 and the roads around Raja Dhirsen Marg will also remain closed. Along with this, no vehicle will be allowed to go to the roundabout Shankar Road temple. Buses going from Shivaji Stadium towards Mandir Marg and near Janmashtami Park in Punjabi Bagh will be diverted on several roads.
