Out of the 15 players in the team, 10 also participated in the Women’s T20 World Cup held in 2023. These include Alia Riaz, Muniba Ali, Nashra Sandhu, Omaima Sohail, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin, Tuba Hasan, Sadaf Shamas, Nida Dar and Fatima Sana. Left-arm spinner Sadia’s selection is subject to fitness, while left-arm fast bowler Tasmia Rubab is also part of the team. Tasmia has not yet made her debut.
Pakistan is in India’s group
Wicketkeeper-batsman Naziha Alvi has not found a place in the 15-member team. However, she will travel to UAE as a traveling reserve. Rameen Shamim and Umm-e-Hani have been included in the list of reserve players. In the Women’s T20 World Cup, Pakistan has been placed in Group A along with Australia, India, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The revised schedule of the tournament has not been announced yet.
