The central government has announced a new pension scheme for central employees. Its name is Unified Pension Scheme (UPS). The opposition has targeted the central government, calling this new pension scheme bad. Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that the Unified Pension Scheme is even worse than the New Pension Scheme (OPS). This is a big fraud with the employees of the country. The paramilitary forces of the country have been excluded from this pension scheme. They will not come under this purview, because their service is not 25 years.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that every month 10 percent will be deducted in the name of pension and after that the government will keep the entire amount with itself. 6 months’ salary will be given by taking the average of the last 12 months. Overall, this is a worse scheme than NPS. Modi government has betrayed the employees of the country. Sanjay Singh said that we demand from the government that the old pension scheme should be restored.
According to ANI, Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said on the Unified Pension Scheme that it has been proved that what all the parties and opposition parties were saying was correct. The central government itself was oppressing the central employees, the way the central government employees voted against the BJP, the BJP has come to its senses and I think they (BJP) will take back their other decisions very soon.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey said about UPS that by bringing the Unified Pension Scheme, the central government has proved that they had to do so because of the demand for a pension scheme by the opposition for the last few months. This time BJP got only 240 seats, so they know that they will have to bring some scheme for central employees. Also, assembly elections are going to be held in 4 states, the government could have brought this scheme earlier also.
