Drugs, money and dispute… Murder was done for Rs 220, now the murderers have been sentenced to life imprisonment

The court has convicted two accused of stabbing a man to death in Gurugram, Haryana, adjacent to Delhi. The court has also sentenced both of them to life imprisonment. Not only this, the court has also imposed a monetary fine on both of them. This murder incident took place in February last year.

According to PTI, Gurugram’s Additional District and Sessions Judge Gagan Geet Kaur held accused Arjun Kumar, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, and his accomplice Akhtar Hussain, a resident of Rajasthan, guilty in the murder case. She also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on them.

Actually, on February 3 last year, a dead body was found under the stairs of a school near Kamala Nehru Park on Gurudwara Road in Gurugram. There were knife marks on the body of the deceased. After investigation and inquiry by the police, Arjun and his friend Akhtar were arrested in this case.

When the police questioned both of them in the murder case, they told the police that they had asked the man for money to buy drugs. But he refused. Angered by this, Arjun and Akhtar first beat up the man and later stabbed him to death. After this, they ran away with Rs 220 from the deceased’s pocket.

Gurugram Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar told PTI that the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge on Thursday sentenced both the men to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each convict.
