Sanjay Roy, the accused of rape-murder of a resident doctor of Kolkata, has not spoken to his sister for 17 years. Sanjay’s sister has not been in contact with him for such a long time. After this tragic incident in West Bengal, the sister of the accused Sanjay Roy spoke to the agency. In this conversation, she told about Sanjay’s behavior from childhood to adulthood.
The accused’s sister said, ‘Sanjay was normal in his childhood like other children. I never saw anything strange in him. He was in police job (civil volunteer). So sometimes he had day shift and sometimes night shift. I never heard anything about him being involved in any fight. I don’t know whether he has done anything or not. If he has really done something, then I will accept any punishment he gets. If he has done this to a girl then it is very wrong.’
‘Father was not ready for marriage’
Sanjay Roy’s sister said, ‘I have not spoken to him in 17 years. Neither he came to meet me nor I went to meet him. I have not seen him for years. So I cannot say anything about this. Actually, my father was not ready for my marriage. He had told me that if I get married in the place where I am getting married, he will end all relations with me. So after marriage, there was no relation with him.’
Sanjay’s mother had said this
Earlier, Sanjay’s mother had talked to Aaj Tak. During this, she had said, ‘I don’t know how to appeal in the court. I am alone. If I meet him (Sanjay), I will ask him Babu why did you do this? I don’t know who influenced him to do this. My son was never like this. If someone has trapped him, then that person will be punished. If he has done this, then God will punish him.’
Murder was done after rape
Let us tell you that the body of a female resident doctor was found in the seminar hall of RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata. Investigation revealed that the female doctor was brutally killed after being raped. The police arrested an accused named Sanjay Roy in this case. After the incident came to light, resident doctors across the country started a strike in protest. The CBI is now investigating this case. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced, in which Sanjay Roy is clearly seen at the scene.
