The police-administration took major action in the stone pelting and riot case in Chhatarpur City Kotwali of Madhya Pradesh. On Thursday, the police-administration team demolished the luxurious mansion of Haji Shahzad Ali, the main accused in the stone pelting case and former district vice president of Congress. The administration claims that this mansion was built on about 20 thousand square feet of land without permission. Shahzad had spent more than 10 crore rupees to build his dream house on the lines of the mansion in the Bollywood film ‘Sanam Bewafa’. The construction work of the mansion was going on since 2017. At present, the housewarming had not taken place. The administration also demolished Shahzad’s house adjacent to the newly built mansion and the house of his councilor brother Azad Ali. During this action, three cars, two scooters and two bikes kept in the house were crushed by a bulldozer.

In fact, on last Wednesday, angry with the objectionable remarks of Maharashtra’s Ramgiri Maharaj, about 400 people from the Muslim community reached the City Kotwali police station to submit a memorandum. During this, the mob led by former District Vice President of Congress Shahzad Ali and Nagar Palika Councilor Azad Ali started rioting and pelting stones in the police station.

In this incident, two police constables including station in-charge Arvind Kujur were injured. This matter reached the capital Bhopal and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav directed the higher officials to take strict action against the accused. After this, the police registered a case under the Riot Act against 150 people including 50 named accused. The FIR also includes the main accused Shahzad’s sons Sonu Khan and Monu Khan, along with Azad’s son Inayat Khan.

Chhatarpur police administration demolished the 20 thousand square feet mansion of former district vice president of Congress Haji Shahzad Ali and his brother Congress councilor Azad Ali, who were playing a major role in this incident, in 6 hours using four bulldozers. Police has estimated the value of the mansion to be Rs 10 crore.

This mansion was built in Mastan Shah Baba Colony in an area of more than 11 thousand square feet. It was claimed that Shahzad Ali, inspired by the mansion shown in the Bollywood film ‘Sanam Bewafa’, built this mansion with his illegal earnings. Currently, he lived in his ancestral house built near the mansion and was going to move into the house soon.

Accused Shahzad and his family are currently absconding.

Crowd was also called from UP

Shahzad Ali and Azad Ali had gathered a crowd in Chhatarpur to protest against the alleged objectionable remarks made by Maharashtra’s Sant Ramgiri Maharaj on Islam. On the pretext of giving a memorandum to the crowd of more than 400 Muslims, both the brothers took them to the police station, where they created a ruckus and pelted stones. If sources are to be believed, people were called from Mahoba and Hamirpur in Uttar Pradesh bordering the district to give the memorandum. At present, the police is investigating the entire matter.

In Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, the administration not only demolished Haji Shahzad’s house but also bulldozed the vehicles parked in the house. Are your governments running as per the Constitution? Is your Chief Minister not crushing your slogan of ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas’ under the bulldozer?”
