Why is Yogi Adityanath’s graph increasing and decreasing?

The strict and forthright image of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made him a popular leader. His supporters consider him a firm leader who is committed to the development and improvement of the state. The image of a strong and strict administrator sets him apart. He has taken many tough steps to maintain law and order. He has come into the limelight due to strict action against criminals and bulldozer action on illegal properties. However, there have been criticisms about Yogi Adityanath’s working style and ideology, especially his opponents do not leave any opportunity to corner him. However, paper leak has become a big issue in UP. In February, there were allegations of paper leak in the police recruitment exam and demand for re-examination was raised, then the government has decided to cancel this exam. There is resentment among the youth on this issue. However, the government is conducting the exam again after only 6 months. Just a week ago, the Allahabad High Court has ordered the release of the result of 69000 assistant teacher recruitment examination afresh. This resentment is also being seen on the streets. The youth are not satisfied with the employment. This issue is significantly affecting the image of the government and the Chief Minister.

Why is Mamata’s graph rising?

There are many major reasons behind the rise in the political graph of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Mamata has established herself as a prominent opposition leader against BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She campaigned vigorously against BJP in West Bengal and maintained TMC’s winning streak in the Lok Sabha elections as well. This helps her emerge as an important face of opposition unity at the national level. Mamata also has an image of a strong and combative leader who stands firmly against her political opponents. This image of hers has established her as a powerful leader not only in the state but also at the national level. The major reason behind the rise in the popularity graph in Bengal is that her government has started many social and economic development schemes in the state. Prominent among these are ‘Kanyashree Yojana’, ‘Sabuj Sathi’, and ‘Swasthya Sathi’.

These schemes have increased her popularity among the public, especially among women and poor sections. Not only this, Mamata has shown sensitivity during disasters and other crises in the state. She often goes among the public and listens to their problems and tries to solve them, which has created her image among the public as a ‘people’s leader’. Mamata has also taken a strong stand against communal politics, which gives her widespread support from the minority communities of the state.

What is people’s opinion about Kejriwal?

According to the Mood of the Nation survey, the popularity of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has decreased. The survey data shows that in August 2023, 58% people were satisfied with Kejriwal’s work. In February 2024, this figure decreased very rapidly and became 37%. Now in 6 months, the popularity has started increasing again and this figure has become 44%. Whereas in the case of better Chief Minister, he has secured second place in this survey. The data shows that in August 2024, 14% people considered him the best Chief Minister.

Why has Kejriwal’s graph gone down?

The Delhi liquor scam has caused a lot of damage to the popularity of the Aam Aadmi Party and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Many AAP leaders were accused of corruption, which damaged the party’s image. Kejriwal, who himself had emerged as a vocal leader against corruption, has seen these allegations against his party affect his credibility. Apart from this, the constant confrontation between the central government and the Delhi government has also affected Kejriwal’s image. The ongoing dispute over rights between the Kejriwal government and the Lieutenant Governor has raised questions on the efficiency of the government. Kejriwal had made many big promises to the people of Delhi, many of which could not be fulfilled. This has increased disappointment among the people and his popularity has declined. AAP’s performance in the Lok Sabha elections has been relatively poor. BJP won all seven seats in Delhi, which weakened Kejriwal’s party’s position at the national level.

Did Kejriwal’s graph increase after going to jail?

The liquor scam came to light in July 2022. The case is being investigated by the CBI and the ED. AAP’s top leaders kept getting embroiled in the heat of the investigation. Manish Sisodia in February 2023, Sanjay Singh in October 2023 and then Kejriwal himself had to go to jail in March 2024. Other big leaders kept defending the party. But, they could not leave enough influence to save the party from major losses. In August 2023, 53 percent of the people were satisfied with Kejriwal’s work, but the news of the arrest of two big leaders of the party and Kejriwal being called the kingpin in this scam affected his image significantly and in February 2024, the number of people liking his work fell drastically and this figure came down to 37 percent. However, even after Kejriwal went to jail in March 2024, his popularity is seen increasing instead of decreasing. That is, a section is also looking at this whole matter by linking it to politics.

What do people think about Shinde?

While 31% people are somewhat satisfied. However, 28% people are dissatisfied with his work. This shows that the performance of the Chief Minister is meeting the expectations of the people to some extent, but there is still scope for improvement. Talking about the entire government, the figures say that 25% people in Maharashtra are completely satisfied with the functioning of the state government. While 34% people are somewhat satisfied. About 34% of the public is also expressing dissatisfaction with the work of the government. This data shows that the public has a mixed opinion about the performance of the government. This survey also revealed that the biggest issue for the people of Maharashtra is unemployment, which has been given priority by 32% people. After this, both development and inflation are important issues for 15% people. Issues related to farmers have been given priority by 13% people.

What are the challenges behind Shinde’s graph growing at a slow pace?

There is a Mahayuti government in Maharashtra. Eknath Shinde is the CM. Devendra Fadnavis is the face of BJP. NCP leader Ajit Pawar is also a part of the government. In 2022, the Shinde government was formed after a split in the Shiv Sena, due to which his leadership faced the challenge of stability. A large faction of Shiv Sena still does not fully accept his leadership, making it difficult for his leadership to gain strength. Uddhav Thackeray has constantly opened fronts. Some critics believe that Shinde’s leadership is under the BJP, which may weaken his independent identity. A faction of Shiv Sena is still with Uddhav Thackeray, which even today does not consider Shinde as the real leader of Shiv Sena. Under Shinde’s leadership, his position is weakening due to internal opposition and dissatisfaction within the Shiv Sena. Many MLAs and leaders are unhappy with his decisions, due to which there is a lack of stability within the party. Due to this, Shinde is facing difficulty in building his identity and popularity among the people of Maharashtra. This conflict is not allowing him to emerge strongly.

The uncertainty of the future in Maharashtra politics is also preventing Shinde’s graph from rising rapidly. When Shinde came into the government, he had the challenge of establishing himself. First, there was the challenge of handling the work better than the veteran leader Fadnavis. Then the entry of Ajit Pawar further increased the challenges in front of him. Shinde moved forward with his clean and clear image. He kept distance from controversies and took big decisions. However, questions arise on his autonomy and decision-making ability. He got the support of Deputy CM Fadnavis in the government and the formula of Mahayuti has almost been successful. This alliance is now ready to go together in the next elections.

What do people think about Hemant?

According to the Mood of the Nation survey, the popularity of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has decreased. The survey data shows that 25% of the people are satisfied with the work of the Chief Minister in August 2024. There are 30 percent people who are satisfied to some extent. While 35% people have expressed dissatisfaction with Hemant’s work. Talking about the functioning of the entire government, 27 percent of the people in the state are satisfied with the functioning of the government. 37 percent are dissatisfied and 34 percent of the people are satisfied to some extent.

Why has Hemant Soren’s graph fallen?

Hemant Soren’s biggest support base is among the tribal and rural communities of Jharkhand. His government has focused on tribal rights and land issues, which has made him popular among this community. However, this support may decrease if these communities feel that their expectations are not being met. Questions are being raised on the legitimacy of his leadership due to alleged irregularities and corruption charges against Hemant in the allocation of mining leases. The ongoing investigation by central investigating agencies has affected his political graph, weakening his position. Questions have also been raised on the efficiency of the government regarding development schemes and economic management in Jharkhand. His government’s inability to deal with problems like unemployment, economic slowdown and lack of investment has also affected his political graph.

The government led by Hemant is based on the alliance of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress and RJD. Tensions keep emerging in this alliance from time to time, which affects the stability of the government and Soren’s leadership ability. There are many public welfare schemes in the Soren government, which are helping to maintain his popularity. These include pension schemes, food security and improvement in health services. The pressure from opposition parties like BJP and the issues raised by them are also proving to be challenging for Soren’s government. If the opposition successfully campaigns against him, then this can also have a negative impact on his political graph.
