Ramesh Maheshwari, executive member of All India Maheshwari Samaj, said that after conducting a survey, it was learnt that the population of the community has come down to 8 lakhs. Whereas earlier it was 15-16 lakhs. Therefore, a decision had to be taken so that the population of the community could increase once again.
According to executive member Ramesh Maheshwari, compared to earlier, now the concept of single child or maximum 2 children has come in the family.
At the same time, due to modern thinking, now when both husband and wife are working, it is not possible to run a big family. This is also a big reason for the decrease in the population of the society.
