Navi Mumbai Crime: Two innocent girls were going to buy stationery, they were stopped on the way and sexually assaulted, the accused was arrested like this

A very shameful incident has come to light from Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. Where a man molested and sexually harassed two minor girls on the road in public. After the complaint was lodged, the police immediately swung into action and arrested the middle-aged accused. After this incident, both the girls are very scared.

Giving information about this incident, a Navi Mumbai police officer told PTI that Navi Mumbai Police on Wednesday arrested a 48-year-old man for molesting two innocent girls. He sexually assaulted the girls in public.

According to the police officer, the FIR states that the accused person has been identified as Sanjay Gaikwad, who stopped two girls aged 10 and 11 near a road intersection at around 8 pm on Tuesday night and touched them inappropriately. The girls went home and informed their family members about this. The family members directly approached the police.

The police officer said that on the complaint of the girl’s father, a case was registered under Section 74 (assault or use of criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

After the case was registered, the police team raided Digha village and arrested the accused Sanjay Gaikwad. Now further investigation is going on in this case.
