The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for two and a half years. The armies of both countries are face to face in the battlefield. Every measure is being taken to defeat the enemy country. Meanwhile, Russia has made a big claim. Russia says that Ukraine is active in our border area and is using dating websites to gather information. Through these websites, young people are first trapped, then attacks are carried out based on intelligence information.

Russia has become alert amid the Kursk intrusion and has now made a special appeal to the people living in the border areas. Russia has told these citizens not to use dating websites at all and to be cautious.

People are being alerted

State media on Tuesday quoted an interior ministry spokesman as saying that Russian law enforcement officials are appealing to people living in areas bordering northeastern Ukraine, especially those living there, to avoid using dating websites as Kiev (Ukraine) is trying to infiltrate there. It wants to trap people and gather intelligence.

The use of online dating services is being blocked. Interfax quoted the spokesperson as saying, “Enemies are actively using dating websites to collect information.” A warning has been issued to the people of Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions. It has also been advised not to use security cameras.

Appeal to stay away from unsafe cameras

The Home Ministry spokesman said, the enemy is identifying IP address ranges in our areas. Remotely accessing unprotected security cameras. Monitoring everything from private yards to strategic roads and highways. It is better not to use security cameras unless necessary.

The warnings come just two weeks after Ukrainian forces launched an offensive across the border into the Kursk region. Kiev claims to have seized control of more than 1,250 square kilometres (483 square miles) of Russian territory and 92 towns and villages in the Kursk region since launching its offensive.

Even military personnel were alerted not to share personal information

However, the Russian Interior Ministry has also alerted military personnel and urged them not to give sensitive personal information if they receive such a call. Apart from this, it has also advised to delete the contact details of fellow soldiers captured by Ukrainian forces. The spokesperson said, it is important to monitor and moderate the chat and immediately delete the accounts of those captured by the enemy or whose phones have been tampered with.
