Rahul Kanal, who was once close to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray, has been appointed as the state head of Shiv Sena’s social media campaign by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde before the assembly elections.
Rahul Kanal had joined the Shinde faction a year ago i.e. on July 1, 2023, citing differences with other young leaders in the party like Suraj Chavan and Varun Sardesai. He is currently a member of the core team of the youth wing of the Yuva Sena in the Shinde faction.
Let us tell you that Rahul Kanal is a well-known face in the social circuit of Bollywood and cricket. She is often seen at social events with celebrity stalwarts like Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and many more.
He also does philanthropic work through an NGO for the underprivileged and street animals.
His appointment as social media head is aimed at countering the allegations and criticism leveled by Aditya Thackeray and his team on the social platform. Besides, he will be responsible for dealing with the many allegations made by Aditya Thackeray regarding corruption in BMC and the state government. Along with this, these allegations will be answered with the new social media team of Shinde group.
