Sawan Purnima will start at 03.04 pm on 19th August. Purnima Tithi will end at 11.55 pm on the night of 19th August itself. In such a situation, on the basis of Udaya Tithi, Rakshabandhan will be celebrated on Monday, 19th August only.

How long will Bhadra remain on Rakshabandhan? (Raksha Bandhan Bhadra Kaal Timing)
Bhadra Kaal on Rakshabandhan is going to be from 02.21 am to 01.30 am on 19th August. Bhadra Poonch will be there from 09.51 am to 10.53 am on Raksha Bandhan. Then Bhadra Mukha will remain from 10.53 to 12.37. Bhadra period will end at 01.30 pm. However, this Bhadra period will not have any impact on Rakshabandhan. Actually, due to Moon being in Capricorn, Bhadra’s residence will be in the underworld. Therefore, the auspicious works happening on earth will not be interrupted. What is the time to tie Rakhi? (Auspicious time for Raksha Bandhan)

This time on Rakshabandhan, there will be two auspicious times to tie Rakhi to brother. The first Muhurta will be in the afternoon and the second Muhurta will be in the evening. You can tie Rakhi on your brother’s wrist during any of these auspicious times.

First time- The first auspicious time to tie Rakhi on Rakshabandhan will be from 01.46 pm to 04.19 pm. That means you will get full time of 2 hours 33 minutes to tie Rakhi.

Second auspicious time- Apart from this, you can also tie Rakhi on your brother’s wrist in the evening during Pradosh period. On this day, Pradosh Kaal will be from 06.56 pm to 09.07 pm.

How to celebrate Rakshabandhan? (How to celebrate Raksha Bandhan)
