Rashid Engineer’s brother can contest elections

According to the information, Khurshid Ahmed Sheikh, younger brother of Engineer Rashid, can contest elections from Langate seat of Handwara in North Kashmir. It is being said that Khurshid Ahmed may take voluntary retirement from the education department in the coming days. AIP came to prominence in Jammu and Kashmir politics when its patron Engineer Rashid defeated former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah from Baramulla seat by more than one lakh votes.
