A person from Lucknow was arrested on Saturday for cheating a scrap dealer of about Rs 1 crore in the name of providing iron scrap of old sugar mill machines. The police gave this information to a news agency. According to which, Lucknow resident Kamruddin allegedly cheated scrap dealer Naushad of Ghaziabad city of Rs 1.5 crore in the name of providing iron scrap of old machines of sugar mills.

Police arrested Kamaruddi from Rajnagar Extension

Naushad had lodged an FIR in Nandgram police station regarding cheating. Since then the police was busy searching for him. Meanwhile, on Saturday, the police arrested Kamaruddin from Rajnagar Extension area on the basis of call records. During interrogation, he admitted to cheating Naushad.

Kamruddin is wanted in 11 cases

Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Kumar Singh said that the accused was wanted in 11 cases of fraud of more than Rs 3 crore from scrap dealers in different districts of the state.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Kumar Singh said that Kamaruddin had described himself as the director of a firm. In such a situation, Naushad fell into his trap. After this he told Naushad that he had got the contract to sell iron scrap of sugar mills. After which he made a deal with Naushad and ran away with the money.
