The team will test accused Sanjay Roy. Through this test, the CBI team will try to know about the accused and will try to understand his mental state.
CBI has decided to conduct psychological test of Sanjay Rai, accused in the rape and murder case of a doctor in Kolkata. According to CBI officials, a team of psychologists from Delhi-based Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) has reached Kolkata to conduct the necessary investigation of the accused. This team will interrogate accused Sanjay Rai and investigate his psychological aspects. Kolkata Police identified the accused Sanjay Rai from broken headphones and CCTV on the second day of the incident and then arrested Sanjay Rai. The accused has confessed his crime.

In this, IMA has written that “On August 9, a post graduate student of RG Kar Medical College was brutally raped and murdered while on duty. This incident has shocked the medical fraternity and the entire country. On August 15, a mob vandalized the hospital, in which many parts of the hospital including the incident site were vandalized. Due to the nature of the profession, doctors, especially female doctors, are vulnerable to violence. It is the job of the officers to ensure the safety of doctors inside hospitals and premises. The incident at RG Kar Medical College has exposed violence in hospitals.
