Protests are continuing across the country over the incident of rape and murder of a trainee female doctor in a government hospital in Kolkata. Amidst all this, CBI investigation is also going on. Sources in the Central Investigation Agency said that till now they have interrogated three fellow doctors of the victim.
These doctors were interrogated on the basis of what they knew about the night when the crime took place. Apart from this, fellow doctors were also asked what happened when they had dinner with the victim doctor. CBI has recorded the statements of everyone. The CBI also asked who had last seen the victim that night.
CBI summoned 10 people
CBI has summoned 10 people, including the security supervisor of RG Kar Hospital, who were on duty on the day of the crime. Apart from this, some guards who were on duty on the night of the incident have also been summoned. CBI has also summoned the supervisor along with the duty roster so that it can be found out who was on duty on which floor.
Sandeep Ghosh also interrogated
Two temporary security guards who were earlier suspended by the hospital have also been called for questioning. Apart from this, CBI interrogated former principal Sandeep Ghosh for a long time on Friday afternoon. The investigating agency tried to know where Sandeep Ghosh was that night? Investigators are trying to find out whether his statement matches with the statements of others or not.
Dead body was found in the seminar hall
In fact, on August 9, the body of a female doctor was found in the seminar hall of RG Kar Hospital, Kolkata. A 31-year-old post graduate resident doctor on duty at the Government RG Kar Medical College and Hospital was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered on the night of August 8. The officials had recovered the semi-nude body of a second year student, which had multiple injury marks, in the seminar hall of the Chest Medicine department.
The postmortem report of this case has also been revealed, which the police had handed over to the victim’s family. In this report, the nature and sexual penetration before the murder were discussed. It was told that the victim was murdered by strangulation. Before that she was raped. The accused had strangled her twice. He died between 3 and 5 in the morning.
