By-elections may be held on assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

The Election Commission can also announce by-elections on 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. These by-elections will be held on Ghaziabad, Majhwan, Mirapur, Milkypur, Karhal, Katehari, Kundarki, Phulpur, Khair and Sisamau seats. This by-election of 10 seats is considered important for the BJP government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
