Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Khel Khel Mein’, John Abraham’s ‘Veda’ and Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Stree 2’ were released in theaters on Thursday. Where there was already a strong atmosphere among the public for ‘Stree 2’ and this film has made a great start. At the same time, the ongoing competition between Akshay and John’s films is taking an interesting turn this time.

The films of these two Bollywood stars have been clashing at the box office since 20 years. But on the scale of stardom, Akshay is definitely a little higher than John and perhaps that is why till now he had the upper hand in the clash with John. However, in the last few years, they had two clashes and both their films were hits. But for the first time, John is seen leaving Akshay behind in the box office clash.

Akshay’s film got praise but not a good start
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is continuously struggling at the box office since the lockdown. The reviews of his last 10 films were also not entirely positive. However, Akshay’s latest film ‘Khel Khel Mein’, released on Thursday, also got good reviews and people going to theaters are also liking the film. Still there is going to be ‘game’ with this film. Sacknilk’s estimates say that Akshay’s film has collected in the range of Rs 5 crore on the first day.

John overtakes Akshay for the first time
There was not much enthusiasm among the people about John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh’s film ‘Veda’, but still this film has started better than expected at the box office. John’s film has collected more than Rs 6.5 crore on the first day.

In the clash of three films, ‘Stree 2’ has got the maximum number of screens (3000-3500). The screen count (1500-2000) of Akshay and John’s films is almost equal. In terms of screen count, while the opening of ‘Khel Khel Mein’ is very average, ‘Veda’ seems to be making a strong start.

Both the films have received very positive reviews and this will give a jump to both the films in the coming days. Akshay being above John on the scale of stardom does not seem to be working for ‘Khel Khel Mein’. Now it remains to be seen whether the public will go to the theaters with more enthusiasm after seeing the positive reviews of Akshay’s film or whether John’s film will come out ahead in the clash this time.
