The case of rape and murder of a 31-year-old trainee doctor of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital remains in the news. There was massive vandalism in the hospital on Wednesday night, after which the matter has become more complicated. So far 12 arrests have been made in this case. CBI is investigating the case. Meanwhile, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has announced a nationwide strike for the next 24 hours from August 17.
