US presidential candidate Republican Donald Trump held a press conference at New Jersey Golf Club on Thursday (August 15). In this 80-minute conference, he tried to link his Democratic rival Kamala Harris to the economic record of the Biden administration. On a question from the journalist, Anant Singh said, “During my last meeting in July, I had asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end Israel’s war in Gaza soon.”

While talking to reporters, Trump said that I requested to end the war and said that it has to end quickly, but win, win your victory and end it. This has to be stopped, the murder has to be stopped.

Denial of recent report

Donald Trump was referring to the meeting with Netanyahu at his residence Mar-a-Lago in late July, when Netanyahu visited America. During his visit, he also met President Joe Biden and Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

Netanyahu’s office and Trump both separately denied an Axios report on Thursday that he had talked about the Gaza ceasefire and hostage release talks the previous day. Apart from this, Trump blamed US Vice President Kamala Harris for the rising inflation in the country.
