DRDO and Mahindra Defense have jointly created a new indigenous armored combat vehicle for the Indian Army. It is a Wheeled Armored Platform (WhAP). Earlier, the Army had taken 18 WHP vehicles made by Tata. This time there is a possibility that these combat vehicles may be purchased in larger quantities. Therefore, the trial of Mahindra’s WhAP is going on.

Its design is compact. It has a 600 horse power diesel engine. It can operate even at very high altitude places. New security technology has been added to it. A total of 11 people with weapons can sit inside it. You can see its ability to move under water in the video below.

In the second video you can see its power to move on the road. It can work well even at the height of the Himalayas. It is an armored vehicle with 8×8 wheels. Only the version is slightly changed. I hope that it will be included in the army soon.
Special feature: It will be fitted with a remote operated machine gun.
Its transmission is automatic. On the road it can run at a maximum speed of 95 km/hr. Its maximum range is 500 kilometers (in plain areas). Ballistic STANAG-2, Blast STANAG-1 have been installed for its security. So that the soldiers can be protected from various types of enemy attacks.

It will be equipped with a 7.62 mm RCWS i.e. Remote Controlled Weapon Station. That means heavy machine gun. Which will be operated by the soldier sitting inside the vehicle using the remote. He does not need to go out and mark the enemy. This will not put his life in danger.
It will also protect soldiers from chemical attacks like nerve, blister, blood, choking etc. Will also protect against biological attacks like bacteria, viruses, fungi and bio toxins. Will protect soldiers from gamma rays in radiation and nuclear attacks. Its suspension is hydropneumatic. CBRN detection kit will detect the attack from a distance of 2 kilometers. An automatic weather station is installed inside the vehicle itself. Advanced land navigation system is installed.
