The family of controversial former IAS trainee Pooja Khedkar, who lost her IAS job, has saved her company from being auctioned by depositing the outstanding taxes. ThermoVerita Private Limited, a company owned by the Khedkar family based in Talwade, Pune, has paid its outstanding property tax and water bills.

This company had outstanding property tax of Rs 2 lakh 87 thousand from 2022 in the name of Pooja Khedkar’s mother Manorama. Apart from this, water bill of Rs 1 lakh 78 thousand was also outstanding. Due to the outstanding amount, after confiscation of the property on July 19, a deadline of 21 days was set for payment. But the Khedkar family paid the tax even before the auction.

Tax of more than Rs 2 lakh was outstanding

Let us tell you that Pooja Khedkar had given the address of the company in Talwade as proof of residence to obtain the disability certificate from Yashwantrao Chavan Smriti (YCM) Hospital of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Ration card was given as identity proof for the certificate. The address of the same company was also on this ration card. Thermoverita Private Limited, located in Talwade village of Jyotibanagar, is named after Pooja’s mother Manorama. The company had outstanding property tax of Rs 2 lakh 87 thousand from the year 2022.

Auction postponed after paying tax

Meanwhile, on August 6, Pooja Khedkar had used the Talwade address of the company to obtain the disability certificate. He cleared the dues by paying a total of Rs 4 lakh 65 thousand. This payment has postponed the scheduled auction for the company. Nilesh Deshmukh, assistant commissioner of the tax collection department of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), has confirmed that the company’s dues have been cleared and there is no need for an auction now.
