Since the incident, people are continuously protesting outside the hospital. Meanwhile, at midnight on Wednesday, some protesters suddenly entered inside the hospital and vandalized it.
The pictures that have emerged from inside the hospital after the disturbance here tell the entire story of the incident that took place at midnight. Some unknown people, who were among the people protesting outside the hospital late at night, suddenly entered inside and started creating ruckus.
Angry protesters went on destroying the hospital’s doors, windows, beds, medical equipment, whatever came in sight. The part of the hospital where the incident with the lady doctor was carried out was also vandalized. Unidentified protesters also beat up the doctors of the hospital.
After the uproar, there were broken medical equipment, broken beds of patients and medicines scattered all over the floor inside the hospital. People’s scattered shoes and slippers tell us what kind of stampede might have taken place here. Broken barricades and chairs are lying outside the hospital.
The protesters uprooted even the doors and windows of the hospital. Broken beds, fridges, people’s seating benches lying everywhere tell us what kind of havoc it would have wreaked. The miscreants also vandalized the police vehicles parked outside the hospital. This shows that the matter became quite violent.
Unidentified protesters also vandalized outside the hospital. Outside, where people were protesting against the incident, chairs and banners and tents were also torn down. People’s bags, shoes, slippers and many other essential items are still scattered there.
Seeing the huge uproar, Kolkata Police personnel took charge and chased away the miscreants from the hospital premises. Currently, a large number of police forces are deployed outside the hospital.
