The country is celebrating 78th Independence Day today. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolor from the ramparts of the Red Fort. He hoisted the tricolor for the 11th consecutive time. During this, PM Modi in his address to the nation said that 2047 developed India is not just a word but the dream of 140 crore countrymen.
PM Modi said that today is the day to remember the struggle for independence. This day has been the day of hundreds of years of slavery and struggles. Be it youth, elderly, women, tribal or Dalit. He continued fighting against slavery. History is witness to the fact that even before the freedom struggle of 1857, the war for independence was being fought. There was such a long period of slavery, there were so many tortures that there were many tricks to break the trust of even the common man, but despite that, 40 crore people of the country showed indomitable courage and spirit at that time.
PM Modi said that we kept moving forward with a dream, kept moving forward with a resolution, kept struggling. We are proud that we have his blood in our veins. They were our ancestors. 40 crore people uprooted the world’s superpower. Broke the chains of slavery. The blood of our ancestors is in our veins. Today we are 140 crores. If 40 crore people can break the shackles of slavery, if 40 crore people can fulfill the dreams of freedom. If we can get independence, then if 140 crore countrymen walk with determination, set a direction, then they can overcome every challenge and make India prosperous. We can achieve the goal of developed India by 2047.
He said that Developed India 2047 is not the words of a speech. Hard work is going on behind this. Suggestions are being taken from crores of people of the country. In this regard, we have sought suggestions from the countrymen and I am happy that crores of citizens of my country have given countless suggestions regarding Developed India 2047. The dreams of every countryman were reflected in these. The resolve of every countryman is reflected in them. For this, youth, elderly, rural and urban people, poor, rich, farmers, tribals, women, all have given valuable suggestions for developed India. When I saw these suggestions, I felt very happy.
Prime Minister Modi said that the government is committed to major reforms to improve the lives of the people and strengthen the country.
