UGC NET 2024 Schedule Revised: UGC NET exam schedule changed, NTA issued notice and explained the reason

National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the schedule of UGC NET June 2024 exam. NTA has issued a notice on its official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in informing about the change in exam date. UGC NET June 2024 exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format in many cities across India.

Now UGC NET exam will not be held on 26th August
According to the UGC NET exam schedule released earlier by NTA, the examinations for various subjects were scheduled from August 21 to September 4, 2024. But according to the latest update, now UGC NET exam will not be conducted on 26th August. It is written in the notice issued that due to Shri Krishna Janmashtami on 26th August, the examination to be held on this day will now be conducted on 27th August 2024. Exam city slip released
NTA has released the exam city slip of UGC NET June 2024 exam on its official website. Candidates registered for the examination can check and download their examination city slip by logging in through application number and date of birth. NTA said in a notice, “NTA is now releasing the intimation slip for allotment of examination city for UGC-NET June 2024 to be held on 21, 22 and 23 August 2024. Candidates are advised to contact UGC -Download your Exam City Information Slip of NET June 2024 (using your application number and date of birth) from the website ugcnet.nta.ac.in/wef 12 August 2024 and read the instructions given therein.”

Know when will you get the admit card?
Keep in mind that this is not an admit card, it only contains information about the city where the exam will be held. UGC NET admit card will be issued separately. It is written in the notice issued. “Candidates please note that this is not an admit card for the examination. This is advance notice for allotment of city of examination center for the convenience of the candidates.” Usually the admit card is released two or three days before the examination. Candidates are advised to contact NTA on 011-40759000 or through email at [email protected] in case they face any difficulty in downloading or checking the Examination City Information Slip.

UGC NET exam was earlier held on June 18.

Earlier this examination was conducted in two shifts on June 18 in pen and paper format. The timing of the first shift was from 9:30 am to 12:30 noon, while the second shift started from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Later, after indications of paper leak, the Education Ministry canceled the examination.
