Taking advantage of the worsening situation in Dhaka after Sheikh Hasina’s escape from Bangladesh, radicals entered the house of Toorin Afroz. They cut his hair and gave pencil wounds on his feet.

Turin Afroz shared his scary experience of that day in a conversation with Aaj Tak. According to Afroz, the fundamentalists asked her why don’t you wear hijab? Barrister Afroz said while talking to Aaj Tak that I will not leave Bangladesh and go anywhere, I will stay here. this is my country. I studied abroad, but then came back to Bangladesh because I wanted to work for the people here. Tooreen Afroz was not allowed to leave the house till 7th August. Afroz also showed his hair which was cut by the fundamentalists. He also showed injury marks on his leg. The fundamentalists had tried to injure his feet by hammering a pencil into them, which left black marks.
