After the coup in Bangladesh, it is claimed that the Hindu community is being attacked continuously and their houses are being burnt. Meanwhile, a group of the community met the Home Ministry advisor. He has talked about proposing three days leave on the occasion of festival. Durga Puja is the most important religious festival for the Hindu community in Bangladesh.
Advisor on Home Affairs Brigadier General (retd) M Sakhawat Hussain has said that at least three days leave will be proposed to celebrate Durga Puja. He told that he has talked to the leaders of the Hindu community about this matter and this matter will be discussed in the ministry and then the decision will be announced.

Three days leave recommended for Durga Puja
Bangladesh Home Advisor Sakhawat Hossain stressed the importance of Durga Puja, stressing that one day off is not enough to fully participate in the festivities. He advocated presenting a strong recommendation for three days leave. He also said that considering the importance of the festival, even if there is not three days leave, at least two days leave should be given.
Those who attack minorities are called criminals
Advisor on Religious Affairs AFM Khalid Hussain condemned the attacks on places of worship of religious minorities and termed those doing so as criminals. He assured that these criminals will be brought to justice and said that a meeting will be held with religious minority leaders to discuss their concerns.

Efforts to stop attacks on minorities
Apart from these, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is working on launching a hotline, through which people will be able to immediately report incidents of violence against religious minorities. For example, this will ensure that attacks on minorities stop and strict action is taken against those who do so.
