On the allegations against his son, Kuldeep’s father Babulal said, “Kuldeep was frustrated because of his stepmother. All this is wrong. He is mad since birth. He is absolutely innocent. False allegations are being made against him.” To protect himself, his first wife never came back to her in-laws’ house. There was never any fight with Kuldeep’s mother. There was no rift. Kuldeep used to behave well with his mother and even eat with her. Our demand is that we should get justice from the Chief Minister and there should be an investigation.”

Police had arrested Kuldeep Kumar Gangwar in the case of murders of women in Shishgarh and Shahi police station area of ​​Bareilly. He is a resident of Bakarganj village of Nawabganj police station area. During interrogation, accused Kuldeep told that he has two sisters, while his mother is dead. She told that her father Baburam had married another woman while her mother was alive. After that, he would often beat the first wife at the behest of the second wife. This was the only reason due to which the accused had a feeling of hatred towards his stepmother and due to this he started making women of that age his victims.

The accused told the police that he was married in the year 2014. He did not behave normally even with his wife. And when his wife opposed it, he would not leave her either. He used to beat her also. Due to all these reasons, Kuldeep Gangwar became frustrated and started consuming cannabis, sulfa, alcohol etc. and went to his home in Bakarganj. After leaving the village, he started wandering from village to village in the surrounding forest.
