Police have exposed a blind and sensational murder in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh. The uncle committed this crime after seeing his 19 year old nephew in an objectionable position with his 18 year old daughter. First he beat his daughter and took her home and then at night he killed his nephew who was sleeping on the terrace by cutting him with an axe.
This is the case of Balwara police station area, about 90 km from Khargone district headquarters. Three months ago, on May 29, 18-year-old youth Pritam Singh Solanki, who was sleeping on the terrace of his own house, was brutally murdered with multiple blows with an axe. Whereas Pritam’s younger brother and aunt’s son were sleeping nearby. Pritam was brutally murdered by attacking his neck, back and jaw not once but eight times with an axe. On receiving the information, police station in-charge Anil Bamnia reached the spot with the team and collected evidence of the sensational murder.
This is how the doubt happened
When police station incharge Anil Bamnia talked to the people around the deceased’s house, he came to know that Pritam’s uncle, 38 year old Kunwar Singh’s father Gulab Singh had seen Pritam and his 18 year old daughter in an objectionable situation before the incident. After the incident, the deceased’s uncle Kunwar Singh had gone to Maharashtra with his entire family to work as a labourer.
I was afraid that my daughter might also run away.
Police station incharge Anil Bamnia said, when the accused Kunwar Singh saw the daughter in an objectionable condition at home with the nephew, he could not control his anger, because earlier also the cousin sister and brother had run away from home and got married. Kunwar Singh was afraid that if I too ran away with my nephew, there would be a lot of infamy.
That’s why the brother who slept with me did not know
When Pritam was brutally murdered multiple times with an axe, the question was raised as to why his younger brother Arun and his aunt’s son, who were sleeping nearby, did not wake up from their sleep? On this, the police station in-charge says that Pritam’s brother had relations at another place, hence he went down the stairs behind the house at night with his aunt’s son. Since it was a moonlit night, Kunwar Singh saw both of them going. She understood that Pritam was alone. Seeing this, uncle Kunwar Singh immediately picked up the ax and killed the sleeping Pritam by hitting it on his neck.
Daughter told that father had taken the ax for 10 minutes
When the police interrogated the accused’s daughter, she told that on the night of the incident, father Kunwar Singh had gone somewhere with an ax for 10 minutes. Police recovered the ax with which Pritam was murdered from Kunwar Singh’s house.
Blood stained clothes were burnt after four days
The uncle of the deceased, Kunwar Singh, was called to the police station for questioning and he was interrogated psychologically. During the interrogation of the police team, Kunwar Singh initially kept misleading the police, but in the end he broke down and accepted the murder.
Accused Kunwar Singh told the police that on the day of the incident, Kunwar Singh had gone to Pritam’s house to drink water. When Kunwar heard some noise, he peeped into the room and saw that his nephew Pritam and his own daughter were in an objectionable position. Seeing this, Kunwar’s blood boiled and he made a plan and decided to eliminate Pritam.
Accused Kunwar Singh also told the police about the place where he went to the river and burnt the blood stained clothes he was wearing at the time of the incident, 4 days later. The police team inspected the spot. Due to destruction of evidence in the case, section 201 of the Indian Penal Code has been added. The arrested accused Kuwarsingh Solanki is being presented in the court.
