In Salem district of Tamil Nadu, a Physical Education teacher beat up the students. The video of this incident has also surfaced. Meanwhile, the injured students were immediately admitted to the hospital. After the video went viral, Sangagiri District Education Officer investigated the matter and suspended the accused teacher.
Actually, the accused Annamalai is working as a Physical Education teacher in a school in Mettur. Annamalai beats the school football team because he was not happy with their performance. In the video, Annamalai was seen slapping, kicking the students, holding many of them by the hair and threatening them.

Annamalai was caught on camera assaulting students. After the video went viral, the Sangagiri District Education Officer investigated the matter and suspended Annamalai pending a full investigation.
Chargesheet filed against 4 people in ISIS recruitment case
At the same time, on August 6, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a chargesheet against four accused in the 2022 Coimbatore temple car bomb blast case in Tamil Nadu. The four accused have been identified as Jamil Basha, Mohammad Hussain, Irshad and Syed Abdur Rehman. Chargesheet has been filed against them under relevant sections of IPC and UA(P) Act.
Used to recruit innocent youth into ISIS
During the investigation of the blast outside an ancient temple in Coimbatore, NIA found that most of the accused arrested in the case were engaged in recruiting innocent youth into ISIS to carry out illegal and terrorist activities. Religious education was imparted by the accused at an Arabic language center called Madras Arabic College (in Coimbatore), which was later renamed as Kovai Arabic College.
