UP: The man had gone to the shop to buy goods, after a dispute the village youth shot him dead there.

A person was shot dead in Banda, UP. A police officer said on Saturday that a 26-year-old youth was shot by another person in Bisanda area after a minor dispute.

According to the news agency report, Banda’s ASP Lakshmi Niwas Mishra said that this incident happened in Adhrori village when Pramod Kushwaha had gone to the grocery store to buy some items. Atul (27) of the same village shot at him with a pistol.

After being shot, Kushwaha’s family took him to the nearest government hospital where doctors declared him dead. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party district unit chief Madhusudan Kushwaha has alleged that the man was shot dead at around 9 pm on Friday night.

SP leader accused police of negligence

He alleged that the murder took place on Friday night but the police reached the spot around 10 am on Saturday, even though Kushwaha’s family members had informed the police soon after the incident. ASP Mishra said that the body has been sent for postmortem and efforts are on to nab the accused.
