Aman’s journey has not been easy

Aman’s journey to winning bronze in the Paris Olympics has not been easy. Aman lost his parents at a young age. First, Aman’s mother died of a heart attack when he was 10 years old. Then about a year later, his father also passed away. After the tragic death of his parents, Aman was suffering from severe depression, so his grandfather Mangeram Sehrawat played an important role in helping him overcome it.

Amidst all this he continued his passion for wrestling. Aman came into limelight in 2021 by winning his first national championship title. Aman won the bronze medal in the 57 kg category in the 2022 Asian Games. Then won the gold medal in the 2023 Asian Wrestling Championship. In January 2024, he brought glory to the country by winning the gold medal in the Zagreb Open Wrestling Tournament. He was the only male wrestler from India to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

India has won 6 medals in Paris Olympics 2024, of which five are bronze and one silver. Firstly Manu Bhakar got bronze in 10 meter air pistol. Then Manu Bhakar also got the second bronze in the mixed team event. Sarabjot Singh was also in the team with him.
