In the video message he said, ‘This is the eastern part of India. It is a proven track record that no one can deny that Sheikh Hasina’s government has maintained peace in Bangladesh, maintained economic growth, prevented insurgency and kept the eastern part of our subcontinent stable. We are the only government that has proved that we can do it. Other governments have tried. They have failed.

Sheikh Hasina will soon return to Bangladesh: Sajeeb Wazed Joy
Sajeeb Wazed Joy said on Friday that former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will return to her country when the situation improves. He said that my mother is focusing on re-establishing her party, Awami League. Sajeeb stressed that the party will come back to power after the elections.

In an interview with Aaj Tak Bangla, Wajed said that Sheikh Hasina has not applied for asylum in any country and she wants to return to Bangladesh soon.

“There is a lot of misinformation,” Wajed stressed. He has not applied for asylum anywhere, be it in the UK, US or Finland. He has no plans to move away from his country. She wants to return to Bangladesh soon.

Sheikh Hasina is currently in India
Sheikh Hasina resigned as Prime Minister of Bangladesh and fled the country on 5 August amid violent protests. He is currently in India. Wajed said that a decision on whether Hasina will retire from politics or continue will be taken after further discussion. Earlier, Wajed had indicated that Hasina would retire from politics.
He said, ‘No decision has been taken yet in this regard. There is a need for reshuffle in Awami League and she is focusing on it. Wajed said Hasina is committed to reviving the party, has confidence in the strength of the Awami League and is looking forward to a strong comeback.

Sheikh Hasina’s son said, ‘Yes, she was disappointed when we saw that our leaders and workers were being killed. We said that our leaders and workers cannot be left like this. They should be organized and kept safe. She has full faith in the strength of Awami League and hopes for a strong comeback.
