In such a situation, getting frustrated with the family circumstances, Kuldeep started consuming cannabis, alcohol etc. and left the house and started living in the nearby forest/deserted area. While staying here, he started targeting women. He used to commit most of the crimes in the sugarcane fields, so that no one could see him due to the cover of the sugarcanes.

Police have recovered clothes, jewellery, Aadhaar cards etc. of four women who were killed in Shishgarh and Shahi area last year from serial killer Kuldeep. After a continuous investigation of about 5 months, Bareilly Police has arrested the serial killer of women. He is accused of 9 murders, currently he has confessed to the crime of 6 murders.

According to the police, Kuldeep used to hold women hostage in isolated places and demand sexual relations from them. When the victims protested, Kuldeep used to strangle them to death with their saree/dupatta. After the murder, he used to keep some thing of the deceased with him as a memento, like sickle, lipstick, bindi or Aadhaar card.
