Major action has been taken against a trainee sub inspector and his two associates who were extorting money from a cab driver in Bisrakh area of ​​Greater Noida West. Both have been arrested. Along with this, both the vehicles used in the incident have been seized. DCP Central has been removed from the post for hiding the incident for 2 days despite knowing about it and not giving information to senior officers. Bisarkh police station in-charge and Gaur City 1 outpost in-charge have been suspended.

Let us tell you that cab driver Rakesh Tomar, resident of Baraut, Baghpat, had given a written complaint to the Police Commissioner. It was said that he had come to Gaur City located at 11 Avenue from Panchsheel Vihar, Delhi at around 1 am on the night of August 2 to drop the lady passenger.

It is alleged that five people traveling in two cars came to the cab driver, pulled him out of the car and misbehaved with him. One of them was in police uniform. They took him to an isolated place, where they beat him up and snatched seven thousand rupees. When the driver said that he had no money to spend, the accused gave him Rs 500 and drove him away from there. After this the victim complained about the matter in the police control room.

Gaur City Chowki Incharge, who reached the spot after the incident, pressed for a compromise. After going there, it was revealed that the policeman wearing uniform was an inspector posted at Gaur City One. There are other unknown persons with him. When the victim reached the police post and complained, the post in-charge called the accused Trainee Sub Inspector and got him identified, but did not reveal his name. After this, he was asked to return seven thousand rupees and settle the matter, but he did not accept the victim. After this the victim complained to the Police Commissioner.

On the complaint of the cab driver, Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh handed over the investigation of the case to ACP 2 Bisrakh. ACP 2 Bisarkh contacted the victim during the investigation. After this, when the facts were found to be correct, a case was registered against the accused in Bisrakh police station. After that, trainee sub inspector Amit Mishra and his other two associates Abhinav and Ashish were arrested by the police.

The two vehicles used in the incident, Scorpio and Hyundai Venue, have been seized. The arrested trainee inspector Amit Mishra has been dismissed from service under Rule 8 (2) (b) of the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Category Police Officers’ Punishment and Appeal Rules 1991.

Noida Central DCP Suniti has been removed from the post for suppressing this incident for two days. In his place, Shakti Mohan Awasthi has been posted as DCP Central Noida. Apart from this, police station in-charge Bisarkh, outpost in-charge Gaur City-1, sub-inspector Ramesh Chandra and Mohit have been suspended.

After this incident, many police station in-charges of Noida Central have also been reshuffled. Inspector Manoj Kumar has been made in-charge of Bisarkh police station from Surajpur police station in-charge. Inspector Vinod Kumar, station incharge Ecotech Third, has been made incharge of police station Surajpur, while Inspector Anil Pandey has been made incharge of Ecotech Third from the police line.
