Rajasthan’s BJP MLA Amritlal Meena has passed away. He was MLA from Salumber. His health suddenly deteriorated on Wednesday night, after which he was admitted to Maharana Bhupal Hospital (MB Hospital) in Udaipur. According to primary information, he died of heart attack, although the situation will become clear after post-mortem.
Amritlal Meena was in Jaipur till Wednesday afternoon. As soon as the news of his demise was received, many BJP workers and officials reached Maharana Bhupal Hospital. Many BJP leaders have expressed grief over his demise.

Rajasthan Minister Kanhaiya Lal Choudhary posted on Twitter, ‘I am deeply saddened by the sad news of the demise of our popular MLA from Salumber Assembly, respected Shri Amritlal ji Meena due to heart attack. I pray to Almighty God to give place to the departed saint at His feet and provide strength to the bereaved family in this hour of deep sorrow. Om Shanti… Humble tribute..’
Was doing politics for two decades
Let us tell you that Amritlal Meena was active in politics for almost two decades. Meena, who joined politics as a Panchayat member, was elected MLA for the first time in 2013 and then he defeated Congress MP Raghuveer Singh Meena’s wife and MLA Basanti Devi Meena. Amrit Lal got 91,930 votes while Basanti got 55,279 votes. After this, Congress leader Raghuveer Meena was defeated in 2018 and 2023.
