There was a huge uproar in the Municipal Commissioner’s office in Kanpur, UP on Tuesday evening. This uproar was not created by any opposition party or leaders but by the workers of ABVP, the student wing of the ruling party. In fact, under the leadership of ABPV Organization Minister Ashutosh Singh, dozens of workers had reached the Municipal Corporation to meet the Municipal Commissioner at around 5 pm. At that time, a meeting was going on in the Municipal Commissioner’s office, under which he was asked to wait for some time. But considering this an insult to their honour, the workers stormed into the office and started creating ruckus.

Seeing the students creating ruckus and indecency, the Municipal Commissioner warned of calling PAC. On this the workers became more furious and started saying call PAC, we will take a look. There was a commotion for 15 minutes between officers and ABVP workers in the Municipal Commissioner’s office. Later, after persuasion by security guards and officials, they came out. The video of this incident is going viral.

It is being told that when ABVP workers entered the room, the Municipal Commissioner asked them about the problem, on which the workers started asking the Municipal Commissioner, what have you done for the city in the last 10 days. Seeing the commotion in the Municipal Commissioner’s office, other employees also reached the spot. They also tried to remove ABVP workers.

In this matter, Municipal Commissioner Sudhir Kumar told ‘Aaj Tak’ that a meeting was going on, ABVP workers had come to meet, they had not told in advance that they would come. Nor was there any news of his arrival. However, as soon as they found out, they were immediately called inside and asked about the problem. But as soon as he came inside, he started misbehaving. After which I talked about calling PAC.

For now, in this case we will give a complaint letter to the police against those people who entered the office and misbehaved. Those creating ruckus will take legal action. The matter remains a topic of discussion in the department.
