Sheikh Hasina has for the second time fled from Bangladesh, the part which Sheikh Hasina’s father Mujib ur Rehman gave independence to as a separate country, after separating it from Pakistan. At present he has been kept in the safe house of Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad. But it is being told that Modi government is considering changing the safe house of Sheikh Hasina and soon she may go to some country and take refuge. In such a situation, there is also discussion that Hasina can take refuge in any European country and the Indian government will make arrangements for her departure.

In such a situation, many questions are being raised that where is Sheikh Hasina going to go from the safe house in India? And is Britain avoiding giving asylum to Sheikh Hasina? Have America, Britain withdrawn their hands on Sheikh Hasina? The reason is being told that Britain has refused to grant asylum to Sheikh Hasina. Actually, Sheikh Hasina came to India in an Air Force plane after resigning from the post of Prime Minister. His plane landed at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad at around 5.30 pm on Monday evening and then returned back to his country.

Since then Sheikh Hasina has remained in the safe house of Hindon Airbase. But it is not clear what she will do next and where she will go. In the all-party meeting, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar told that Sheikh Hasina is being given time to decide. The way she left Bangladesh and reached Hindon airbase, it became clear that Delhi was not her destination. He sought asylum from Britain, but there has been no indication of London accepting his demand. It is being told that now she is in touch with many countries of Europe and may also seek asylum from Russia.

Meanwhile, shocking pictures emerged from the Bangladesh Consulate in New York on Tuesday. Bangladeshi protesters stormed the Consulate in New York. Here they forcefully removed the photograph of Sheikh Hasina’s father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Earlier on Monday, the statue of Bangladesh’s founder and first President Sheikh Mujib was vandalized. Now Bangladeshi protesters were seen entering the New York Consulate and creating ruckus. The surprising thing is that there is no security visible here.
