Sheikh Hasina was overthrown in Bangladesh and she left the country. At present Sheikh Hasina is in India. Indian security agencies allowed Sheikh Hasina to enter India safely. She was coming to India in a C-130J aircraft named AJX and at around 3 pm it was seen flying at low altitude near the Indian border.

Indian radars were active at the time and they kept a close eye on the aircraft as it entered Indian territory and took off from Kolkata Airspace. Sources told India Today that Indian Air Force personnel, who were well aware of the packages present in the aircraft, had also activated two Rafale fighter jets to assist in case of any emergency.

Indian security officials held a meeting

India started monitoring the C-130 aircraft with call sign AJAX1431 from 10 kilometers away from the border with Bangladesh. This plane was moving towards Delhi. The Bangladesh Air Force plane reached near the UP-Bihar border via Patna at 4 pm. Meanwhile, the country’s top security officials, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, heads of intelligence agencies and Chief of Integrated Defense Staff Lieutenant General JO Mathew attended a top-level meeting to take stock of the situation.

Ajit Doval’s meeting with Sheikh Hasina

The plane was allowed to land safely at Hindon Air Base at around 5:45 pm and NSA Doval met the Bangladeshi Prime Minister. During the discussion, he discussed the current situation in Bangladesh as well as the steps to be taken in the future.

After this, the NSA went out of the airbase to brief the Cabinet Committee on Security on the entire matter. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Finance Minister N Sitharaman attended the top level meeting.
