Sheikh Hasina government had recently banned Jamaat-e-Islami, its student wing and other organizations associated with it. This step was taken after several weeks of violent protests in Bangladesh. It is being said that after this action of the government, these organizations have come out on the streets against the Sheikh Hasina government.
