Many people have come forward to adopt children who lost their families in the massive landslide in Wayanad. After this offer from the people, Kerala Health Minister Veena George on Saturday told about a detailed process for adopting children.

In a Facebook post, Kerala Health Minister George expressed gratitude for the kindness of people and clarified that the government takes care of children who have lost their parents under the Central Juvenile Justice Act. However, he said that people can adopt children by following the correct procedure.

He said that the care and adoption of children is done through all legal processes by those who are registered with CARA (Central Adoption Resource Authority). He can adopt children. Foster care facilities are also provided to children between 6 years to 18 years. This should also be done keeping this in mind, because the interests of the child come first.
