In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, adjacent to Delhi, a 42-year-old man Omveer committed suicide by shooting himself. The deceased person used to work in a private company in Noida. This incident of suicide took place in Prakash Vihar Colony where the person committed suicide.
According to the news agency report, Loni’s Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Surya Bali Maurya said that the police have recovered a country-made pistol of 315 bore and three live cartridges from the dead body.
According to the report, the person died on the spot due to bullet injury in the head. The rest of the family was on the ground floor when he took his own life. The ACP said that the family members heard the gunshot and ran upstairs where they found Omveer lying in a pool of blood.
The police have collected fingerprints on the pistol and sent the body for post-mortem. Police sources said that a few hours after the incident, the deceased’s father Ashok Tomar reached the spot and alleged that Omveer had committed suicide because of his wife Poonam. The father of the deceased told that Omveer and Poonam were married 21 years ago and they have three children. Police said that the matter is being investigated.
