A shocking case of murder has come to light from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh. A friend who worked together in digital marketing kidnapped and murdered his friend during a money transaction. After this the body was thrown into the Gomati river. Eight days after the incident, the police arrested the accused friend, recovered the body at his behest and sent it for post-mortem.

The matter is of Krishna Nagar of Gangaghat Kotwali area. 26-year-old Abhay Tripathi, who lived in Anshika Apartment here, suddenly disappeared from home on July 25, who was originally a resident of Kanpur Barra police station area. The family members had complained about this to the police. The family members allege that even after complaining, the police was not taking any action. They were circling the police station. When he complained to Lucknow ADG and Chief Minister Yogi, the matter came to light.

Husband had gone to Neem Karauli with five friends

The wife of deceased Abhay told that her husband used to work in digital marketing in Kanpur. But, his friend Rohit called him to Shuklaganj to work with him. His friends Rohit, Tushar, Saurabh, Anirudh and Pradeep used to work with him. My husband had gone to Neem Karauli with five of his friends on 23rd July.

He was to return from Neem Karauli on 27th July. But he returned on 25 July. I last spoke to my husband on phone on July 24. Then on July 25, I talked to him on WhatsApp. When my brother-in-law called him, Tushar picked up his call. He said to talk after half an hour. After this his phone got switched off.

Police accused of not taking any action

When his mobile did not turn on till 7 pm, he started worrying. After this we complained about this at Ganga Ghat police station on 25th July. But, the police did not take any action. Even after circling the police station, the police were not listening to us. When a complaint was made to the ADG, the CEO informed that the body had been found.

The police took the accused friend into custody and interrogated him.

On the other hand, after registering the case, the police has started investigation. When the police checked the CCTV footage of Anshika’s apartment, Tushar and Abhay were seen coming out of the apartment together. The police immediately detained the deceased’s friend Tushar and interrogated him. Accused Tushar started misleading the police. But when the police interrogated him strictly, he confessed the truth.

Killed a friend and threw his body in the Gomti river.

Accused friend Tushar told the police that he used to work in digital marketing with Abhay. There was a transaction of Rs 50 thousand between them. Due to this money transaction, he called his aunt’s son Shivam. Then he took Abhay with himself and murdered him and threw the body in the Gomati river in Hardoi.

Police said this in the matter

CO Sadar Sonam Singh said that on July 27, Divya Tripathi, resident of Kanpur Barra, had filed a case at Ganga Ghat police station. Her husband Abhay Tripathi used to work in digital marketing while living in Shuklaganj on the advice of his friend Rohit. A case was registered and investigation was conducted and when Tushar was taken into custody, he told that he along with his aunt’s son had murdered Abhay and thrown him in the Gomati river. The police have taken the body into custody from the spot and sent it for post-mortem. Further action is underway.
