A shocking news came out from the police department in Ballia, UP, where despite repeated requests of the constable, the police station incharge did not give him leave. On the contrary, he scolded him and sent him away. Due to which he could not get his wife treated. The constable’s wife died due to lack of treatment. At present, the SP has ordered an investigation into the constable’s allegations. The incident has become a topic of discussion on social media and in the department.

The name of the victim constable is Pradeep Sonkar and he is originally from Pratapgarh district. It is alleged that he had sought leave from the police station incharge Dinesh Pathak for the treatment of his wife, but instead of giving leave, the police station incharge scolded him and sent him away. On the other hand, Pradeep’s wife died due to lack of treatment. After which the constable has written a letter to the Superintendent of Police (SP) demanding action against Sikandarpur Police Station Head Dinesh Pathak.

Constable Pradeep Sonkar accused the police station incharge Dinesh Pathak that he had gone to him on July 27 with an application seeking leave for his wife’s treatment, but the police station incharge did not give him leave. On the contrary, he scolded him further and sent him away. After which, when he was going to his home on the night of 29th July after collecting mail from the head clerk, his wife died before he could reach home.

After this incident, Pradeep is in bad condition and crying. He has demanded from the Superintendent of Police to take legal action against the police station chief. In this case, SP says that the letter was received through social media. The investigation has been handed over to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sikandarpur, appropriate action will be taken. The Deputy Superintendent of Police has also been sent to the constable’s house. The SP said that the entire police family stands with the constable in this hour of grief.

Constable Pradeep claimed in a letter to the SP that if he had been given leave, perhaps his wife would have been alive today. According to the letter, the constable has a five-month old daughter, the shadow of her mother has now vanished from her mind.
