Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is very happy to become a grandfather. He says that with the arrival of Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s daughter Raha Kapoor, his life is no longer the same as before. He is amazed every day by the changes in it. While talking to Aaj Tak, he told which is the film which he would like to show to his granddaughter Raha for the first time. However, for this he is waiting for Raha to turn 16 years old. The film he has chosen is not of Alia.

Nana Mahesh will show Pooja’s film to Raha

Hearing the question, a big smile appeared on Mahesh’s face, he said – If you ask me, the film I want to show to Raha, when she grows up, turns 16, is ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta’. No. This is one of the most heart touching films, in which Pooja seemed completely separated from the world. Aamir was really good. This is a film that still connects with people’s hearts. I think such a film would be best for me and I would choose it first for Raha.

In this 1991 film, Aamir Khan was in the lead role with Mahesh Bhatt’s eldest daughter Pooja Bhatt. Along with the film, its songs are still liked by cine lovers. When we reminded that he also has an iconic film like Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke in his credit, he said – Oh yes, that too. But this is a very different kind of love story.

Raha changed the way of looking at life

Mahesh Bhatt also talked about the changes after the arrival of Alia’s daughter Raha. Mahesh told that after the arrival of Raha, his perspective of seeing the world has changed.

Mahesh said emotionally – I look at human perspective from a different perspective. Especially after becoming a grandfather. To be honest, I still have not got over my child’s amazing achievements. And now another new dimension of motherhood has been added here. Alia is not only a brilliant actress, but is also a great mother. This has been a huge change, and Raha is like a gift from the sky, which came out of nowhere and surprised all of us.

Mahesh further said – If I am completely honest, my eyes have now shifted towards my granddaughter. You start loving her more than your daughter. I think children have such power that they completely pull you towards them.

On the work front, Mahesh has Bloody Ishq releasing soon. It has been written by Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Vikram Bhatt. Avika Gor, Vardhan Puri and Jennifer Piccinato are in lead roles in the film. The film is streaming on Disney + Hotstar from July 26.
