Delhi LG strict after the death of students in Rajendra Nagar, committee formed under the supervision of Chief Secretary, will work on these issues

Continuous action is going on after the death of 3 UPSC students in the coaching center of Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi. In this sequence, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi VK Saxena on Wednesday directed to form a committee under the Chief Secretary to resolve all the issues related to coaching institutes. The proposal also includes setting up an educational center and shifting all the coaching institutes to the designated location.

The Governor’s Office said in a statement, “The Chief Secretary will lead a committee, which will include 5-6 representatives of coaching institutes, representatives of students and officials of the concerned departments. This committee will look into regulation, excessive rent by landlords, fire NOC, “Will comprehensively consider all issues related to cleaning of drains and other immediate needs of the students, so as to create a conducive educational environment while meeting all the parameters.”

The committee, proposed by the Governor, will prepare a long-term and short-term action plan to gradually shift the coaching institutes from different locations to a planned area.

Secretary to Lieutenant Governor informed that the Chief Secretary of Delhi will take up with the Union Education Minister the matters related to formulation of guidelines/regulatory framework for coaching institutes/tuition classes in line with the guidelines prepared by the Government of India in the larger interest of the students. . And the Vice Chairman of DDA will provide site visit facility to the representatives of coaching institutes at the identified places in Narela and Rohini etc. Any coaching institute running a library or educational facility in the basement will be sealed immediately.
